Only observation of the weekend...... a bye round for a team in both DIv 4 and Div 5 is rubbish.....
Not playing because of it = no observations!

Immanuel v Rostrevor - 0-3 away win
Regency E v Mt Barker - 2-2 Draw
Sacred H v Grads Red - 1-2 Away win
Uni White v Mercedes - 0-1 Away win
Unley v Pembroke - 2-1 Home win

Doesn't look like anything interesting happened this first round.... No upsets with only a few results left to be added ...

All5 of our teams are at home at the same time in every round....... makes for a great atmosphere every home weekend and keeps the guys together..... top job !

Idea already mentioned (briefly) and not too onerous to implement...follow the FA cup model and and give 1A teams a bye in round 1 based on the previous season standings. Then they join in round 2 and any weak teams will have been knocked out BUT out their day on the pitch. Every team, every player ...

I agree stdanjo.. Div 5 pay the same fee's., club rego and the like as any other team....... Wouldn't be hard to work out a system where 1A teams join in the second round or something?
